I really loved her edits and suggestions.  

My wife's a magazine editor and I could have kept everything in house by enlisting her skills, but we both agreed that she was way too close to my project. I decided to preserve my marriage and self-esteem by seeking out other editors. As I began my selection process, I narrowed my choices down to a short list of editors which included Erin and one other candidate. I had worked hard on my manuscript and was not about to hand it over to just anybody. After receiving Erin's sample edits, I asked my wife to carefully scrutinize her work. She thought her edits were excellent!

Based on the sample edit and my wife's professional opinion, I knew I had found my editor!

Only after I received my manuscript back (on deadline), could I begin to appreciate what a fine job she had actually done for me. I feel that she went far beyond what most editors would do, editing not only for grammar and punctuation, but also for content.
